girl, resurrected

The one and only Winona Ryder has well prepared her full-throttle comeback into the film-making industry. Starring in the new-- to be released this week in Aus-- psycho-thriller, Black Swan [blogged here] co-starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. ELLE Magazine, in the US, recently featured Ryder on her small, but prominent role in the film. As ELLE says, it's unusual for us to adapt to Ryder portraying a minor role, but audiences are still overwhelmed with nostalgia with any modern performance she makes. The days of Beetlejuice, Reality Bites, Edward Scissorhands, Mermaids, Little Women, The Age of Innoncence and of course Girl, Interupted are looong over, but Ryder's face will always be and is still very much remembered in them. I am looking forward to a wonderfully nostalgic day when i view Black Swan... this week, hopefully!

After that shoplifting incident at Saks Fifth Avenue in '01, many thought she had her prime in her career in the 20th century, but Ryder re-inventing herself is something that please eth much, because all that talent should sure as hell should be used for entainment in 2011 and beyond.
Besides, we all know we love her from her 90s' days, so why fight it now?

Welcome back Ms Ryder. We're glad to have ya.
